LAB REPORT: FINGERPRINTING OF THE SAND SAMPLE FROM SARASOTA CAME BACK POSITIVE. CONTAMINANTS ARE THE SAME AS THE OIL FROM BP'S WELL.

Chemist: That’s BP oil on Southwest Florida beach — “Should put to rest any doubt” over origin of 173 ppm oil found in sand near Sarasota.

The compared sample is a fingerprint MATCH

Comments by chemist Bob Naman regarding the chromatogram, via Testing the Water Citizen’s Initiative:

[It] clearly confirmed a match and is highly accurate and should put to rest any doubt that the oil that we found was ‘sunscreen’, ‘motor oil’, or any other form of ‘naturally present’ contaminant.
