Louisiana Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries FB Status on 8/12/2010

Posted as the status on their FB page this morning:
To date, every seafood sample from reopened waters has passed sensory testing for contamination with oil and dispersant. First of all, I thought they didn't know how to test for dispersents. Also, sensory test is funny, it's a nicer word than "we smelled da stuff", but still means the same. It's just so easy to alter prespectives by word choice, isn't it?

NOTE TO SELF (and YOUR life depends on this):
There are no tests in existence for the presence of Corexit or other dispersants in seafood--NONE!
Smelling and visually examining the seafood means NOTHING!
