There is sufficient enough evidence to show that even small amounts of exposure to petroleum products emitting benzene is enough to cause leukemia in humans, not just animals. There is plenty of reliable online info about this and lawyers that are willing to represent people that might have been affected: http://www.benzeneleukemialawblog.com/
Staying inside is just a short term and probably not a very effective solution until one can get out of the contaminated areas.Anita Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13793278123231616101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3869270039519917139.post-65117178837067032202010-07-09T05:42:26.240-04:002010-07-09T05:42:26.240-04:00We do not know what human health effects might occ...We do not know what human health effects might occur after long-term exposure to food and water contaminated with benzene. In animals, exposure to food or water contaminated with benzene can damage the blood and the immune system and can cause cancer.

Cancer is not something that will show up after a week of exposure to toxic chemicals - it can and does take years to form and cause its insidious damage. Telling the Gulf Locals to stay inside is not the answer.... the poison is everywhere, carried, as it were on the winds.......

http://just-me-in-t.blogspot.com/2010/07/there-is-no-danger-from-that-oil.html~~Just Me in T~~https://www.blogger.com/profile/12688756480412704251noreply@blogger.com
